Step #1: Gently set your toner cartridge on your workstation with the toner hopper contact end plate facing you. Step #2: Take your #2 Phillips-head screwdriver and remove the two black screws from the end plate. Note: The screw located just below the developer roller is longer than the other screws on the cartridge. Make sure the correct screw is used when reassembling the cartridge otherwise the screw can jam and cause an invalid toner cartridge. Step #3: Now, take out your #0 Phillips-head screwdriver and remove the small screw from the contact end plate. Step #4: You should be able to slide the end plate away from the toner cartridge. Step #5: Simply rotate the cartridge at 180 degrees. Remove the 2 screws holding the gear housing end cap to the toner hopper. Step #6: Gently slide the gear housing end cap from the toner hopper. Step #7: Remove the 5 gears from the end of the cartridge leaving the toner hopper agitator drive gear. Step #8: The developer and roller end plate is held in place by 2 screws. Step #9: Take your #0 Phillips-head screwdriver and remove the small silver screw. Step #10: You can now slide the developer roller end plate from the side of the cartridge. Step #11: Whatever you do - DO NOT lose the round bearing that sits inside the developer end plate. Step #12: Rotate the cartridge at 180 degrees. Remove the screw holding the developer roller end plate to the hopper. Step #13: Remove the end plate while holding the developer roller. Step #14: Remove the developer roller. Next, remove the developer roller bearings from the ends of each roller. Note: Again, whatever you do - DO NOT lose the round bearing that sits inside the end plate. Note: Be sure to clean the developer using a lint-free cloth along with some alcohol. Step #15: In order to lift the top cover of the hopper, you need to lift the back of the cover off the positioning post located on the backside of the hopper. Step #16: At this point you can lift off the top cover. Step #17: Simply remove the 2 screws holding the doctor blade.
